Amber came to FKDSET in 2009, we realized the two girls, Amber and Alysia, were good friends and shared similar interests but were at different developmental levels. Ambers Mum, Dianne, is a special needs, or ESE certified teacher in Key West at the school they both attend. She has been constructive in finding providers like Belinda Rodriguez, but also in supporting the charity by attending all our events, come rain or shine. Amber has enjoyed therapy and exercise swimming and dance classes since 2009, as well as Physical Therapy, and now the fantastic tutoring skills of Belinda Rodriguez, it is our pleasure to have Amber in our group. Her upcoming arch/foot surgery will be a challenge to all, her family will have her at home for 6 weeks, unable to move her out and about, but her therapy will continue as well as the tutoring, at an increased rate, while she is bedridden. We hope to see Amber up and swimming and dancing again this next school year, 2012‐2013.
